We participate in a federally funded Food Program (CACFP). This allows us to provide federally guided, nutritious meals to each child daily. We will be giving your child a well-balanced, healthy diet, and we request that you send no extra snacks.  We have seasonal menus that allow us to have the freshest produce available. Fresh seasonal produce has more nutritional value.  The purpose of a nutrition plan is to help families and team members understand how to meet the nutritional needs of children. It’s important for children, families, and team members to understand how nutrition helps children meet their optimal growth. By providing proper food, correct serving sizes, and providing information to families and our team members, we can meet the needs of your children in our care.  Our kitchen coordinator is trained with information given by Mid Michigan Food Program.  Family information is provided on our information board and team members are given fun new ideas on how to prepare food, help the children serve themselves, and encourage them to try new types of food.

A.  We practice Conscious Dicsipline.  Conscious Disciple is a  social-emotional learning program that integrates discipline with a conscious approach to developing relationships and creating a safe, caring, and respectful learning community. It is based on the principles of brain science, empathy, and connection and aims to help individuals (especially children) develop social and emotional skills and build resilience. Conscious Discipline focuses on teaching individuals how to regulate their own behavior, make responsible decisions, and resolve conflicts peacefully.
